Interplace

Nate Hewson is an ordinary man on his way home from work. He believes that he has narrowly escaped a car accident but in reality he is in a coma. His mind has entered another "place" that is inhabited by all those whose minds are inactive in our own world. Interested? Read more! This is the longest story so far on the site!

Nate was in the accident he thought he avoided and is actually in a coma.
The doctors believe that Nate's mind has retreated into itself as a form of protecting itself. They must locate Nate in his own mind before it is too late, or his condition will be irreversible.
Nate's consciousness is actually in a very different place. He will find out that he is actually in a place where people who are not fully present in the "real world" are fully present here. Anyone who is in a coma or is mentally impaired exists in this realm.
Eventually Nate will discover that he is in a coma in his other life. He will also meet his son in this realm. His son is fully present here.
There is some type of conflict in this other realm and Nate will have a very important role to play. Nate will also discover that the doctors are trying to locate him in his mind. Nate believes that the task he must complete is significant, and he can't allow the doctors to bring him back before it is completed. When/if he does complete the task, Nate is faced with a heart breaking decision: does he stay with his son or does he go back?

Roxanne- the neighbor who watches Aidan and the girls to help Leah out

1. Have one of Nate's daughters start to have dreams about Nate. She starts to draw pictures of her dad to express what she sees when she is asleep.

2. The pictures Nate's daughter is drawing leads to conflict between Susan and Leah.

3. The old man is actually an evil being in Interplace.

4. The doctor who is trying to reach Nate is being influenced/used by the old man.

5. The old man wants to use the doctor to escape Interplace.
